You will be working as Project Engineer and will be part of Process Automation Business area for Energy Industries division based in Bangalore, India. In this role you will be reporting to Engineering Manager and will be responsible for designing, engineering and commissioning of ABB DCS 800xA and Electrical Control System (ECS) / Power Management System (PMS) / Composite Islanding & Load Management System (CILMS).
Your responsibilities
- Carrying out the PMS engineering starting from internal kick-off meeting till the inspection of the electrical equipment
- Supporting the site team for commissioning and handing over of the field of electrical equipment. Performing the site survey for estimation and finalization of the instrument bill of material
- Supporting project management for finalizing the project schedule and assisting the customer review meetings and ensuring the document submission to customer as per the agreed document control index
- Coordinating with vendor and interacting with customer or consultant for seeking engineering approval. Supporting SCM and PM for procurement related engineering and for optimizing the cost. Submitting the drawings and documents required for carrying out the site erection
- Leading design and engineering during execution of projects and handling a team of support engineers for carrying out the design, engineering and commissioning of power management system, related electrical equipment’s items
- Interacting with the customer for seeking engineering document approvals in the project and with vendors for evaluating their technical offers and support SCM during finalizing the vendors
- Coordinating with service contractor engineers while executing the project, for meeting the required scope in the target period
Your background
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
- Minimum 1 to 3 years of experience in ABB 800xA based PPM, PMS - design, engineering and commissioning
- Experience in design, engineering and commissioning of PMS, EMS, ECS, CILMS, EDMS, ECS, IEC61850, SAS, load shedding, load sharing, PQ control and SCAP
- Experience in oil or gas or petrochemical plant projects is preferred
- Knowledge on ABB control builder, GOOSE, PCM600, IET600, IED would be an added advantage
